Satire Notice

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) is a work of political satire and social commentary. It was created in response to a public remark made by the Chief Justice of India on 15 May 2026 comparing unemployed youth to "cockroaches." The movement reclaims that word as a symbol of resilience, survival, and collective defiance.

All content on this website — including the name "Cockroach Janta Party," the manifesto, slogans, posters, and written material — is created with satirical, advocacy, and social commentary intent. It is protected expression under Article 19(1)(a) of the Constitution of India, which guarantees freedom of speech and expression.

Satire has a long and honoured tradition in Indian public life. From cartoonists to poets to street theatre, Indians have always used satire to hold power accountable. The Cockroach Janta Party stands in that tradition.

Section 02

Not a Registered Political Party

Legal Clarification: The Cockroach Janta Party is not a registered political party under the Representation of the People Act, 1951 or any other law of India. It has no recognition from the Election Commission of India.

Membership in the Cockroach Janta Party is entirely symbolic. It carries no legal standing, no voting entitlement, and no obligation of any kind. Members are supporters of a satirical movement — nothing more, nothing less.

Any suggestion that CJP membership confers legal rights, political representation, or official status of any kind is false and should be reported to us immediately.

Section 03

No Electoral Activity

The Cockroach Janta Party does not:

  • Contest Lok Sabha, Vidhan Sabha, or any other elections
  • Field candidates for any elected office in India
  • Campaign for or against any specific political candidate or party
  • Issue voting recommendations of any kind
  • Operate under the Model Code of Conduct or any Election Commission directive

The five-point manifesto is a statement of public policy advocacy — a list of reforms that the movement believes would benefit Indian democracy. It is not an electoral promise or a party programme.

Section 04

No Fundraising

Warning: The Cockroach Janta Party does not collect donations, membership fees, or any form of payment from the public. Membership is, was, and will always be 100% free.

If you encounter any website, Instagram page, UPI QR code, or individual claiming to collect money on behalf of the Cockroach Janta Party, that is a scam. Please do not pay, and report it to us immediately at contact@cockroachjanataparty.it.com.

We also do not sell merchandise, certificates, or any physical or digital products through this website or any affiliated channel.

Section 05

Views & Opinions

The views, opinions, and positions expressed on this website and on CJP's social media channels are those of the Cockroach Janta Party movement and do not represent the views of any government body, registered political party, court of law, or any other institution.

References to public figures, judicial officers, elected representatives, or institutions are made strictly in the context of public interest commentary and satire. Such references do not imply personal animosity, defamation, or any criminal intent.

Any perceived criticism of public conduct by public figures in their official capacity is fair comment protected under Indian law and constitutional norms.

Section 06

Media References

This website references and links to news articles from various Indian and international media organisations including Times of India, NDTV, Deccan Herald, The Week, Times Now, and others.

  • These references are for informational purposes only
  • We do not claim ownership of any third-party media content
  • Headlines and excerpts are quoted under fair dealing provisions
  • CJP is not affiliated with or endorsed by any media organisation
  • Media organisations cited have not paid for placement or endorsement
Section 07

Constitutional Basis

The Cockroach Janta Party's existence, its satirical content, and its public advocacy are grounded in the following constitutional and legal provisions of India:

  • Article 19(1)(a) — Right to freedom of speech and expression
  • Article 19(1)(b) — Right to assemble peaceably and without arms
  • Article 19(1)(c) — Right to form associations and unions
  • Article 21 — Right to life and personal liberty (including dignity)

We believe that calling young citizens "cockroaches" for being unemployed is a violation of human dignity. Our movement is a peaceful, lawful, and constitutionally protected response to that remark.

Section 08

No Legal or Professional Advice

Nothing on this website constitutes legal, electoral, financial, medical, or any other form of professional advice. Content is published for general informational and satirical purposes only.

For any legal concerns related to your specific situation, please consult a qualified legal professional in India.

Any other website, Instagram page, Facebook group, Telegram channel, YouTube channel, or WhatsApp group claiming to be the official CJP is unauthorised and potentially fraudulent.
